The ZTE F50 is a pocket 5G router. This project turns it into a small Linux computer: Ubuntu (24.04 or 26.04 LTS) or OpenWrt (plain, or with a control panel for the modem), with SSH, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and its 5G modem working. Android stays on the device, and you can go back to it at any time.
Think of it as a Raspberry Pi that already has a 5G modem, a Wi-Fi access point and 32 GB of storage inside.
The ZTE U30 Air is supported too: the same board and chip with a battery. The installer recognises which one it is talking to; see Supported devices.
Android cihazda kalır, istediğiniz an geri dönersiniz.
This is an experimental hobby project, made in spare time by people who like these devices. It is not a product, it has no support line, and it comes with no warranty of any kind. Everything here is offered as it is; a release that works on our boards may not work on yours.
What you do with your device is your decision and your responsibility. In particular:
- Rooting, unlocking, patching and recovery are not part of this project. Getting a device rooted, flashing with Magisk, SPD/BROM or any other third-party tool, and anything you download from anywhere else to do so, is done at your own risk, following those tools' own instructions. We did not write them, we do not check them, and we cannot say what they do to your device, your data or your warranty.
